Judy Chicago (Jewish) is one of the greats of Feminist Art.

Her father was a Marxist labor organizer. Her father, in turn, hails from an unbroken chain of 23 generations of Jewish rabbis.

What’s Judy Serving You For Dinner?

Her all time Masterpiece is The Dinner Party…lauded and acclaimed in the Feminist Art community as a breathtaking achievement…a work of true genius.

The sculpture is based upon the Jewish Cabala equilateral triangle that supposedly represents the female power. The triangle is a dinner table with thirteen place settings on each side. The main course for each of the dinner party’s privileged guests is a delightfully prepared human vagina…kosher, of course! (The less knowledgeable guests don’t understand what they’re being served…and it’s impolite to ask.)

Judy’s Chicago’s The Dinner Party is one of the featured pieces in the Indiana University course Art Appreciation H100W…a course covering Art throughout all human history. From the course textbook:

“A work that contributed significantly to the resuscitation of women’s place in the art world was Judy Chicago’s The Dinner Party. Chicago was trained as a painter but she abandoned painting because, in the 1960s and 1970s, it was dominated by what she saw as men’s way of thinking…This led Chicago, and colleagues like Suzanne Lacy and Miriam Schapiro, to explore new means of expression…The Dinner Party was a collaborative project…Shaped as a triangle, the earliest symbol of female power, it is set with thirty-nine places, thirteen on a side, each celebrating a woman who has made an important contribution to world history. The names of 999 additional women, all of whom have significantly contributed to history in their own right, are inscribed in ceramic tiles along the table’s base. Each place setting consists of a needlework fabric runner and a ceramic plate in honor of the woman whom it celebrates. The first plate is dedicated to the Great Goddess, and the third to the Cretan Snake Goddess.” (A World of Art, Third Edition, Henry M. Sayre, 506-507.) The Dinner Party is currently housed at the “UCLA Armand Hammer Museum and Cultural Center.”

[Armand Hammer (Jewish, deceased) was the son of a founder of the U. S. Communist Party and was a front man for the Communist Soviet Union. Hammer was the head of Occidental Petroleum and had a sideline selling artworks that the Jewish Communists stole and looted from the Russian Aristocracy whom they murdered. Hammer was also the “godfather” of Al Gore senior and Al Gore junior. Hammer was notorious for selling fake and fraudulent art…it’s interesting that UCLA names a museum and cultural center after one of the greatest art fraudsters of the 20^th century. Menstruation Art and the Peg Brand Connection

Judy Chicago achieved further Feminist fame for her sculpture known as “Menstruation Bathroom” and her performance piece “Cock and Cunt Play.”

Judy Chicago teamed with Peg Brand (second wife of Myles Brand) to teach the Indiana University course “The Foundations of Feminist Art.”

Judy Chicago is a Visiting Faculty member in the Gender Studies Department at Indiana University.
